The Wet Saree

The first post of a blog should in general be informative and should serve as an introduction to what this blog will be all about. In this case, trying to pack everything about the blog in the first post itself will be terribly...lengthy. So I shall dither from committing such an error and take you, fellow connoisseurs of hydrated cotton, to the news of the day!

One of the things I do is check for new instances of wet dresses on the Net. More often than not, this involves searching for a rather damp six-yard piece of cotton wrapped around an equally damp female form. This is what the tide brought in tonight.

Priyanka Chopra in a rather wet yellow six-yarder, standing under the rain. Movie: Agneepath (the remade one)

It seems the newly-minted (or to be minted) remake of Agneepath will feature a rather scary(!)-looking Sanjay Dutt, the angry-young avatar of Hrithik Roshan, a kohl-eyed baddy in Rishi Kapoor, and, the best part, the sensuous Priyanka as a village belle! A village belle! What more could one ask for? A village belle, in a soft cotton saree, soaked to the skin in the downpour. And Miss Chopra is good at it too. Her expression conveys her feeling of enchantment at being bathed in heavens' waters. The ease of her pose in the rain exudes a sensuousness that is balanced beautifully by the soaked saree draping her well-maintained (but not size zero, thank goodness!) figure. A very good shot of a beautiful woman in a rain-drenched saree. I would give it a 7/10.
